Gretna……….Junior Roy Osborne, age 84 of Gretna entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 after an extended illness.

Born January 15, 1940 in Pittsylvania County, he was the last surviving child  of the late Jack Osborne and Annie Tosh Osborne.

After proudly completing an apprenticeship in bricklaying, he made bricklaying his trade for 39 years before retiring.  His passion was watching old Westerns.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Eleanor Manning Osborne of the residence; two daughters, Denise Arrington and husband, Mike of Rocky Mount and Teresa Haskins and husband, Jimmy of Huddleston; four grandchildren, Steve Weatherford, Kristal Weatherford, Cara Robinson and Kayla Liston; and six great-grandchildren, Sawyer Liston, Harper Moore, Noa Grace Robinson, Brayton Weatherford, Ashton Weatherford and Gmarrion Wright.

Per his request there will be no public service.
