Hurt……….Darthous Juanita Orange Ruff, age 88 of Hurt died Monday, December 17, 2012 at Autumn Care Nursing and Rehab.
Born August 22, 1924 in Thaxton she was a daughter of the late Macon Orange and Alice Orange. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Junior Ruff; a daughter, Dorkes Buchanon; a grandson, Billy Waller; a great-grandson, David; and three sisters, Margaret Overstreet, Rebecca Dooley, and Roxie Creasy. Mrs. Ruff was a home maker; and enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, and canning.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Ruff and his wife, Wanda of Altavista, and Marty Ruff and his wife, Donna of Altavista; one daughter, Arlene Stanley and her husband, Warren of Sanford, NC; two sisters, Janie Hudson of Gretna, and Australia Fielder of Bedford; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Dennis Nichols. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 P.M Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
