Hurt…..Juanita Anders Lanter age 85 of Hurt died Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born November 24, 1928 in Grayson County she was a daughter of the late Thomas Anders and Bessie Pruitt Anders. She was also predeceased by a son-in law Dr. Jack Campbell; two brothers, Thomas Anders, and Harry Anders; and one sister, Rose Rhudy. She was a member of Altavista Church of God of Prophecy, a faithful pastor's wife, and was a home maker.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years Rev. Robert Lanter, Jr. of the residence; one daughter Phyllis Lanter Campbell of Brookneal; one granddaughter, Vaneta Hunt and her husband, Bruce of Brookneal; one great-granddaughter, Alexandra Hunt of Brookneal; two brothers, Dean Anders of Galax, and Newton Anders and his wife, Mary Lou of North Carolina; and two sisters-in-law, Gay Anders Linneberry, and Sybell Anders.
Funeral services will be conducted 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the Altavista Church of God of Prophecy by the Rev Wayne Murphy and the
Rev. Dr. Leonard Atkins. Interment with graveside services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Felts Memorial Cemetery, Galax, VA.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the Altavista Church of God of Prophecy.
