Gretna…….Juanita Dalton Elliott, age 89 of Gretna died Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.
Born June 26, 1925 in Pittsylvania County she was a daughter of the late Jabe Anderson Dalton and Carrie Ellis Dalton. She was predeceased by her husband, Milton Paige Elliott, Sr.; two brothers, Calvin Dalton and Harold Dalton; and four sisters, Thelma Tuck, Regina Jones, Edith Moore, and Gladys Ballenger. Mrs. Elliott was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gretna. She retired from the Lane Company; and enjoyed gardening, flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by one son, Milton Elliott, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Gretna; one daughter, Debbie Toney of Gretna; one brother, Jack Dalton of Gretna; three grandchildren, Adam Toney, Daniel Toney, and Katie Underwood and her husband, Jared; and two great-grandchildren, Hayden Underwood and Claire Underwood.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 24, 2014 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Jonathan Hilliard and Rev. Kristen White. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.
The family will receive friends at the residence of her daughter, Debbie Toney, 464 Windy Road, Gretna.
