Gretna………John Paul "JP" Martin, age 52 of Gretna died Thursday, March 14, 2024.

Born December 24, 1971 in Danville, he was a son of the late Tony Harlan Martin and April Starr Bean Miner.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Amy Mae Martin and the love of his life, Angela Taylor.

JP owned a computer/IT business for years before starting his construction company, Dry Bridge Construction. JP was selfless, sarcastic, crazy, and a talented rockstar. He loved his kiddos, making music, twirling fire, and taking risks. He was determined to take over the world or die trying. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his children Hailey, Dylan, Logan, Sarah, Quentin, his aunt, Jackie Martin, his trusty dog, Scrappy Do and more friends than we can list. We'd like to thank Zeb Adkins, who was like a brother, for all his help.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
