Gretna…….Joyce Ann Crider, age 76 of Gretna died Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born February 19, 1939 in Franklin County she was a daughter of the late Clarence Allen Crider, Sr. and Clara Brumfield Crider. She was predeceased by one sister, Elna Koch; and a brother, Clarence A. (Punk) Crider, Jr. Joyce was a member of Gretna Christian Church and was a former employee of Craddock-Terry. She was a caregiver to many and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. Joyce loved her church and church family.
She is survived by one brother, Joe Crider and his wife, Irene of Gretna; two sisters, Judy Simpson of Gretna and Helen Hunt and her husband, Billy of Gretna; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Gretna Christian Church by Lee Ashley, Minister. Burial will follow in Sheva Church of Christ cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the residence of her sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Billy Hunt, 7085 Music Street, Gretna.
