Altavista……Joyce Faye Blankenship, age 83 of Altavista died Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born November 14, 1937 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Blankenship and Lizzie Marr Blankenship.  She was predeceased by her twin brother, Karl Blankenship.  Joyce was a member of Lane Memorial United Methodist Church and she retired from Altavista Manufacturing.  She was a 1955 Graduate of Altavista High School and a member of the Senior Volunteer Group from Lynch Station.  Joyce loved to sew and collect dolls.

She is survived by numerous cousins.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Altavista Memorial Park by Rev. Ben Horrocks.
