Hurt……….Joseph Michael Shercell, age 81 of Hurt died Monday, January 4, 2016 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born August 29, 1934 in Wheeling, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Joseph P. Shercell and Mary Gregorcic Shercell. He was predeceased by his wife, Leona Davis Francis Shercell and a brother Robert Shercell. Mr. Shercell was a retired employee of Ericsson and an Air Force Veteran. He enjoyed reading, and watching TV, especially sports and talk shows.
He is survived by one sister, Patricia Shercell of Pasadena, CA; a nephew, Kaleo Sallas; a niece, Kaiulani Venable; one step-son, Joel Francis and wife, Wanda; two step-daughters, Dixie Creasy and Kathy Brooks and her husband, Michael; and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
