Florida……. Jonathan Alex Rawlings passed away February 5, 2018 in Cape Coral, FL.
Born March 25, 1964 in Lynchburg, he was the third child of Linda Sue Brumfield Rawlings Simpson of Gretna and the late Emerson Leo Rawlings. Jonathan graduated from Gretna Senior High School in 1983 and was also a graduate of Sunstate Academy in 2012, Fort Myers, Florida. He did volunteer work for nonprofit organizations, SAVE in Danville. ICAN and AHF in Fort Myers, Florida.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his best friend, Christopher Haywood of Cape Coral, FL, whom helped him through many difficult times; one brother, Emerson Leo Rawlings, Jr; four sisters, Wanda Rawlings Francis, Lena Rawlings Blair, Jennifer Rawlings Dalton and Wendy Simpson; and numerous beloved nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins.
Per his request there will be no public service.
Jonathan's last request was for those who knew him to do something good for the less fortunate.
