Long Island……Johnathon Wayne Mattox, age 38 of Long Island passed away as the result of an automobile accident.

Born March 13, 1984 in Lynchburg, he was a son of Kimberly Annette Mattox of Long Island.  He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Maxine Mattox.  Jonathan worked at McDonalds; and he loved working on cars and spending time with his children.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by three sons, Tyler Mattox of Long Island, Cameron Mattox of Madison Heights, and Saige Mattox of Roxboro, NC; one daughter, Keely Mattox of Madison Heights; fiancée, Dianna Hall of Roxboro, NC; grandfather and dad, Gene Mattox of Long Island; two brothers, Dusty Wright of Long Island, and Cody Mattox of Roanoke; one sister, Laura Mattox of Hurt; and one grandchild, Delilah Mattox.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Green Lawn Cemetery by Rev. Jim Critchley.

The family will receive friends at the residence.
