Danville……….John Keith Tucker, age 83 of Danville died Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born April 21, 1933 in Pittsylvania County he was a son of the late Hollins Creasy Tucker and Berta Frances Saunders Tucker. Mr. Tucker was predeceased by a son, Wendell Keith Tucker. He was an Army Veteran, a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Mt. Airy and was an employee of the City of Danville for over 40 years. Mr. Tucker enjoyed baseball games, fishing, gardening; and hunting, especially turkey hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Jeroline Woodson Tucker of the residence; one brother, Frederick Tucker and wife, Fay of Gretna; one sister, Kathryn Waller of Gretna; two grandchildren who were the apple of his eyes, Gabriel Tan Tucker and Arnell Keith Tucker; and a daughter-in-law, Arnida Tucker.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2017 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. R.G. Rowland and Elder Mark Wiley. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2017 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
