Gretna...........John Jacob Shelton, age 38 of Gretna died Monday, April 3, 2023.

Born April 24, 1984 in Lynchburg, he was a son of Joseph "Joe" Shelton and Geneatta Waters Shelton of Gretna.  He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, John and Musa Shelton; and maternal grandparents Jacob and Eva Waters.  John was member of First Christian Church of Covington.  He loved his cat, "Big Boy" and he enjoyed working on electronics, working on computers and DJing.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Pittsville Pentecostal Holiness Church by Pastor Thomas Lee and Larry Owen, Minister. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the residence of his parents, Joe and Geneatta Shelton.
