Berkley Joel Pruitt

Chatham……….Berkley Joel Pruitt, age 56 of 5084 Climax Road, Chatham died Friday, May 6, 2011 at Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born December 28, 1954 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of Poppie Rigney Allen and her husband, Mike of Chatham and the late Berkley Pruitt. He was a member of Museville Christian Church and was a heavy equipment mechanic. Mr. Pruitt enjoyed Harley –Davidson motorcycles, working on engines, improving things and time spent with his grandchildren.
In addition to his mother and step-father, he is survived by two sons, Eric Pruitt and wife, Bree of Concord, NC and Blake Pruitt and wife, Kim of Stuart; one daughter, Amanda Pruitt of Danville; two sisters, Pauline Hedrick of Chatham and Linda Falls of Callands; 4 grandchildren.
A memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2011 at the Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rusty Owens, Minister and Eric Pruitt, Minister.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
