Pittsville………Joe Kenneth Kinsley, Jr., age 62 of Pittsville died Sunday, April 2, 2023 at his residence.

Born July 30, 1960 in Washington County, he was a son of the late Joe Kenneth Kinsley, Sr. and Shirley Singleton Kinsley.  Mr. Kinsley was a state trooper with the Virginia State Police for over thirty years.  After his retirement he went on to be a U.S. Marshall.  Joe loved serving as a trooper; and enjoyed riding horses and being on the lake.

He is survived by two daughters, Emilia Kinsley of Danville and Ashleigh Kinsley of Danville, Alabama; one great-grandchild, Kyleigh Hill; and two brothers.

Per his request there will be no public service.
