Altavista…….JoAnn Shelton Weeks, age 75 of Altavista passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, NC.

Born June 11, 1951 in Campbell County, she was a daughter of the late Lincoln Ramsey Shelton and Rachel Krantz Shelton. She was predeceased by a brother, Link Shelton, Jr. Mrs. Weeks was a member of Crossroads Ministries and retired from Lamano Agency. She loved her flowers, keeping up her house and yard and cooking. She cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren more than words could express. JoAnn was the heart of her family, her love brought everyone closer and will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Weeks of the residence; two sons, Russ Weeks of Altavista and Stephen Weeks of Altavista; two sisters, Gwen Case and husband, Bill of Gretna and Pam Black and husband, Terry of Shelby, NC; three grandchildren who where her pride and joy, Zach Weeks, Allison Weeks and Kelsey Newman and fiancé, Tyler Lambert; two great-grandchildren, Waylon Lambert and Judson Lambert; a daughter-in-law, Tina Weeks; and a special cousin, Donna Hall.
