Hurt……….Joan Hall Stone, age 74 of Hurt died Friday, November 5, 2021 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born May 7, 1947 in Campbell County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas  Board Hall and Lillian Creasy Hall. She was predeceased by two brothers, Merril Hall and Tim Hall; and one sister, Dorothy Toon.  Joan was a member of Elim Assembly of God and worked at Klopman Mills for 28 years.  She was also CDL Licensed and a caregiver with Team Nurse.  She loved camping, going to the beach, and her Shih Tzu dogs.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Wade Stone and wife, Donna of Altavista, and Lance Kendall Stone of Mineral; two brothers, Billy Hall and wife, Louise of Jacksonville, FL, and Jimmy Hall of Altavista; one sister, Pattie DeJarnette of Lynchburg; one sister-in-law, Janet Hall of Hurt; six grandchildren, Kameron Stone, Hannah Stone, Parker Stone, Kenneth Blanchard, Jr. and wife, Karissa, Michael Simpson, and Brandi Blanchard; and four great-grandchildren, Nathan Blanchard, Paisley Blanchard, Oaklyn Blanchard, and Adelyn Bartley.

Graveside services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Swan Creek Baptist Church Cemetery by Pastor David Rowland.
