Gretna……….Jimmy Edwin Dalton, age 60 of 8676 Rockford School Road, Gretna died Sunday, March 18, 2012 at his residence.
Born March 15, 1952 in Danville, he was a son of the late Grady Lee Dalton, Sr. and Lula (Pete) Ramsey Dalton. He was also predeceased by a son, Brandon Scott Dalton; and a grandson, Joseph Kendrick. Mr. Dalton attended Gretna Pentecostal Holiness Church and was an employee of Abbott Laboratories. He enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Younger Dalton of the residence; one son, Waylon Dalton of Gretna; two brothers, Grady Lee Dalton, Jr. of Gretna, and Ronnie Dalton of Victoria; three sisters, Yvonne Wells of Gretna, Kathy Dalton of Gretna, and Ramona Robinson of Charlottesville; mother-in-law, Irene Younger of Gretna; and seven grandchildren, Lauren Dalton, Taylor Ramsey Dalton, Chassidy Fielder, Jayden Dalton, Brandon Scott Dalton, Jr., Nick Berger, and Shawn Crews.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Gretna Pentecostal Holiness Church by Pastor Donald Powell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
