Gretna……..Jimmy Coleman Edwards, age 64 of Gretna died Friday, June 5, 2020 at his residence.

Born September 8, 1955 in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Leonard Lawson Edwards and Mildred Hutcherson Edwards.  He was predeceased by a brother, Glenn "Roger" Edwards; and a grandchild, Liliana Reynolds.  Mr. Edwards was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.  He was an engineer at BWXT for 27 years and he took a lot of pride in his work.  Jimmy enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golf.

He is survived by three daughters, Mary Ray and husband, Curtis of Lynchburg, Amanda Mason and husband, Brian of Motley, and Susan Reynolds and husband, Zachary of Hurt; two sisters, Connie E. Noe and husband, Mike of Free Union, and Brenda Walton and husband, Rick of Richmond; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2020 at St. Andrews United Methodist Church Cemetery by Pastor Matt Speck.

The family will receive friends at the residence.
