Nathalie……….Jettie Hodnett Waller, age 98 of Nathalie died Sunday, January 31, 2016 at her residence.
Born December 21, 1917 in Pittsylvania County she was a daughter of the late Albert Jefferson Hodnett and Laura Shelton Hodnett. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Thornton Waller, Sr.; two brothers, Percy Jefferson Hodnett, Sr. and Allie Hodnett; two sisters, Ola H. Gregory and Ollie H. Oakes. Mrs. Waller was a home maker, a member of Mulberry Baptist Church for over 77 years and a member of the WMU. She also was a member of North Staunton Homemakers Club, the North Halifax Quilting Club, a charter member of the North Halifax Ladies Auxiliary and Woodmen of the World.
She is survived by two sons, Raymond T. Waller, Jr. and wife, Effie Mae of Nathalie, and Ronnie L. Waller and wife, Mitzi of Nathalie; two daughters, Marie Waller of Lynchburg and Lelia W. Hale of Lynchburg; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Mulberry Baptist Church by Rev. David Hanks and Rev. Robert Hall. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2016 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.

The family would also like to thank her care givers, Mabel Brown, Rody King and Mae Issacs.
