Gerald (Jerry) Dalton

Gretna…..Gerald (Jerry) Wayne Dalton, age 52 of Gretna died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Virginia Baptist Hospital in Lynchburg.
Born January 16, 1959 in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of Alice Marie Ickes Dalton and the late Gene Calvin Dalton; he was also predeceased by a brother, Gene (Butch) Dalton. Mr. Dalton was a foreman with Norfolk Southern Railroad. He enjoyed motorcycles, four wheelers, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his son Petty Officer Zachary Gold Dalton of Gretna; two daughters, Zoey Alexandra Dalton of Gretna, and Courtney Leigh Karkenny of Axton and her children, Camryn Witt, and Gracie Witt; three brothers, Randy Dalton of Lynchburg, Mark Dalton of Lynchburg, and James Dalton of Gretna; his fiancée, Brandy Dalton, and her children, Lauren Dalton, and Taylor Dalton.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Friday, June 17, 2011 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
