Chatham………Jerry Adkins, age 73 of Chatham died Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born December 21, 1948 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Woodrow Wilson Adkins and Leona Hoskins Adams.  He was predeceased by a brother, Charlie Adkins.  Mr. Adkins was a member of Pittsville Pentecostal Holiness Church and he retired from American Furniture.  He loved gardening, fishing, and making stew at the church.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Moore Adkins of the residence; one brother, Harold Adkins of Chatham; and one sister, Gladys Dalton of Chatham.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Pittsville Pentecostal Holiness Church by Pastor Thomas Lee.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the residence.
