Lynchburg……….Jenny Kay Mattox, age 19 of Lynchburg died Saturday, July 2, 2011 as the result of an automobile accident.
Born June 28, 1992 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of Mark Herbert Mattox of Altavista and Lillie Anne Kelly of Lynchburg. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, John and Virginia Kelly, and her paternal grandmother, Constance Mattox. She was a care giver with Public Partnership. She loved her family and friends, and enjoyed the outdoors, floating the river, and photography.
In addition to her parents she is survived by one son, Trent Preston Creasy of Lynchburg; one brother, Bryan Rice of Lynchburg; one sister, Kelli Rice of Lynchurg; her paternal grandfather, Herbert B. Mattox and his wife, Shelby of Altavista; her fiancé, Tyler Preston Creasy of Hurt; a nephew, Tyler Kirby of Lynchburg; nieces, Jade Byrd of Gretna, Riley Rice, and Hailey Rice both of Lynchburg; a special cousin, Lindsay Carper; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and special friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor Mike Dodson. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, and other times will be at the residence of Rhonda Denise Doss, 312 Prospect Road, Hurt.
