Altavista……….Jennifer Lynne Doss Mitchell, age 61 of Altavista died Monday, December 2, 2024 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born January 6, 1963 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late Henry Paul Doss and Verna Estelle Walker Doss.  She was predeceased by her special friend, Jeffrey Dale Mitchell; and a brother, Jeff Paul Doss.  Jennifer was a member of Chrisitan Life Church of Lynch Station where she loved being involved with ladies ministry.  She enjoyed arts, crafts, gospel music; and spending time with her family, especially her grandchild, Oakley.

She is survived by one daughter, Savannah Mitchell Porter and husband, Larry of Altavista; one grandchild, Oakley; one brother, Joey Doss and wife, Susan of Gretna; one sister-in-law, Patty Doss of Gretna; nieces and nephews, Jamie Doss Roach and husband, Barnabus of Gretna and their children, Samuel Roach and Stephanie Roach; Chris Doss of Gretna; Hanna Mitchell Gamez and husband, Chris of Gretna and their child, Addison Gamez; and Justin Mitchell and wife, Kelsey of Richmond and their child, Harper Mitchell.

Memorial services will take place at a later date.
