Altavista………Jeffrey Dale Mitchell, age 63 of Altavista died Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at his residence.

Born June 27, 1960 in Campbell County, he was a son of the late Robert "Jack" Jackson Mitchell and Sylvia Allen Mitchell.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Terry Mitchell, and Jackie Mitchell.  Mr. Mitchell was a mechanic and a member of Christian Life Church.  He was a Jack of all trades and a master of none; he loved being outdoors, drag racing, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by one daughter, Savannah Porter and husband Larry of Bedford; one brother, Scott Mitchell and wife, Tammy of Pittsville; a special friend, Jennifer Mitchell of Altavista; one aunt, Sue Blackstock and husband, Edwin of Evington; numerous nieces and nephews; and a grandchild on the way, Oakley Porter.

Per his request there will be no public service.
