Chatham...........Jeffrey "Jeff" David Walden, age 63 of Chatham died Wednesday, April 17, 2019.

Born February 18, 1956 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of Verna Adkins Walden Cottrell of Gretna, and the late Elmer Roy Walden.  He was predeceased by a brother, Wayne Walden.  Mr. Walden was a member of Summersett Baptist Church and was a farmer.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on the farm, gardening, and horseback riding.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Scott Walden of Gretna, and Jamie Walden (Lauren) of Chatham; one daughter, Kelly Walden; two brothers, Billy Walden (Linda) of Vernon Hill, and Roy Walden; three sisters, Diane Earles of Axton, Pat Keatts and husband, Garith of Gretna, and Becky Dalton and husband, Larry of Chatham; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Summersett Baptist Church by Rev. Jason Andrews.

The family will receive friends at the residence of his mother, Verna Adkins Walden Cottrell, 120 Oak Grove Drive, Gretna.
