Chatham…….John Jeffrey "Jeff" Osborne, age 73 of Chatham, died Monday, August 7, 2023 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born May 13, 1950 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Levi Sherman Osborne and Azie Custer Dixon.  He was predeceased by one sister, Margaret Moore.  Mr. Osborne was a member of Green Bay Christian Church and he was a mechanic at Climax Garage.  Jeff loved Jesus Christ and witnessed that love to every person he met.  He also loved his family, old cars, and hummingbirds.   Everyone knew his passion for old cars and working on them.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Watson Osborne of the residence; two daughters, Tina Cole and husband, Bobby of Chatham, and Crystal Wright and husband, Cyrus of Chatham; four grandchildren, Hannah Cole, Tanner Cole, Alexis Wright, and Sammy Wright; two brothers, R.V. Osborne of Lynchburg, and Levi Osborne and wife, Teresa of Chatham; two sisters, Ann Norcutt of Rustburg, and Sandra Gowen and husband, Emmett of Gladys; a cousin, Eddie Pickeral of Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other children he loved and considered his own.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Green Bay Christian Church by Rev. Greg Hedrick, Chris Osborne, and Glenn Bartley.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence, 109 Goodview Road, Chatham.
