Gretna……..Janie Trail Teaford, age 74 of Gretna went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Born March 6, 1949 in Roanoke, she was a daughter of the late Henry Woodson Trail and Viola Simpson Trail.  She was predeceased by one brother, Rodney Trail; and one sister, Mary Hollingsworth.  Mrs. Teaford was a member of Spring Road Baptist Church and she was a seamstress with Capps Shoe Company.  She loved to clean, and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Teaford of the residence; two daughters, Tammy Cobb and husband, Roger of Reidsville, NC, and Becky Rowland and husband, Ronald of Ringgold; one brother, Henry Trail and wife, Bobbi of Roanoke; two sisters, Doris Jones of Salem, and Shirley Amos of Salem; one sister-in-law, Linda Trail of Durham, NC; two grandchildren, Zachary Shelton and wife, Hannah, and Caylee Cobb; one great-grandson, Theo Shelton; a caregiver, Pricilla Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2023 at Forest Grove Baptist Church Cemetery by Pastor Brian Faison.

Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Spring Road Baptist Church by Pastor Ronnie Simpson.
