Pittsville……….Janice Hardy Gibson, age 64 of Pittsville died Monday, April 13, 2020 at her residence.

Born September 16, 1955 in Danville, she was a daughter of the late Harold Arnold Hardy and Vivian Brooks Hardy.  Mrs. Gibson was a member of Summersett Baptist Church and she was a Human Resource Manager with Gretna Health and Rehab Center.  She enjoyed going to the beach, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Cecil "Jake" Gibson, Jr. of the residence; five children, Wade Howell and wife, Shannon of Lynch Station, Brandy Rowland and husband, Jason of Altavista, Misty Lumpkin and husband, Steve of Penhook, Nicole Sloan and husband, Steve of Forest, and Matt Gibson and wife, Brooke of Hurt; two brothers, Tommy Hardy and wife, Bonnie of Rocky Mount, and James Hardy and wife, Lisa of Gretna; two sisters, Sandra Walden of Gretna, and Beulah Towler and husband, Tony of Gretna; 23 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden by Rev. Jason Andrews.
