Gretna……….Janice Dalton Arnold, age 76 of Gretna died Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.

Born March 13, 1944 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late Petress "Pet" Dalton and Mary Bennett Dalton.  She was predeceased by her husband, George Edward Arnold; one brother, John David "J.D." Dalton; an infant brother; and her life partner, Judson Pickral.  She was a member of Summersett Baptist Church and she worked in home health care. Janice was an avid bingo player; and she enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by two sons, Scott Arnold and special friend, Connie Darnell of Gretna, and Matthew E. Arnold of Chatham; one daughter, Mary "Penny" Caldwell & special friend, Bart Newman of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, Ashley Newman, Miranda Furr and husband, Johnny, and Mariah Arnold; and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Gretna Burial Park by Rev. Jason Andrews.

The family will receive friends following the service at the residence of her son, Scott Arnold, 300 Buck Track Road, Gretna.
