Jan Gordon-Holt went home to be with Jesus on March 14, 2025. For the past several years she has lived very happily on the farm in Gretna, Virginia. Prior to that, she spent her life in Howard County, Maryland. She graduated from Glenelg High School in 1969. She held different government jobs for twenty years, ran a restaurant for one year, and then worked as Office Manager for a day care business. She worked to earn a living, but her spare time was spent directing choirs, and playing for weddings, funerals, and various church services. Her community choir work in Howard County was what she loved the most. Jan loved music more than anything else. Her husband Jim Holt passed away December of 2009 and her parents John and Noreen Gordon are in heaven waiting for her too.

Her family was truly the happiest part of her life. Her sister Eileen Clark was her best friend and she lovingly referred to Eileen's husband Jimmie as her brother. The other most important parts of her life were her nephew Timothy Clark and his wife Gretchen, their sons John Gordon and Suter, and special family members Chanse Mullinix and Sean Hereth. She was always grateful for each and every one of them.

Jan requested that no funeral service be held. In lieu of flowers she asks that donations be made in her name to the Wounded Warriors Project or the Zion Chapel in Gretna, Virginia.
