James (Jim) Ritter

Gretna......James (Jim) Stanley Ritter, age 64, of Gretna died Friday, September 24, 2010 at his residence.
Born October 13, 1945 in Bluefield, WV, he was a son of Emily Ruth Poe Ritter and the late James Allison Ritter. Jim was the owner of Ritter Computer Consulting in Gretna and was a US Navy veteran of Vietnam. He was an avid participant in radio control airplane flying, and he enjoyed playing games on the computer.
He is survived by his daughter, Leandra Gerwin and husband, Paul of Cincinnati, OH; his mother, Emily Ruth Poe Ritter of Gretna; one brother, Gary Ritter and friend, Kathy of Eden, NC; one sister, Deborah Hearn and husband Buddy of Chatham; one grandchild, Daniel Gerwin.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 27, 2010 at the Colbert-Moran Chapel by Bob Paddock, Minister. Burial with military honors by the Virginia National Guard Honor Guard will follow in the Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden, Gretna.
The family will receive friends at the residence of his sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Buddy Hearn, 525 Motley Road, Chatham.
