Gretna……James Alan Osborne, age 63 of Gretna passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026.

Born August 13, 1962 in Danville, he was a son of the late Luther "Jim" Coleman Osborne and Wayburn Barbour Osborne.  Mr. Osborne was a supervisor with Schrader Pacific in Altavista and a member of West End Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Donna White Osborne of the residence; two daughters, Megan Osborne and soon to be husband, Josh Kegley of Long Island and Allison Waller and husband, Nathan of Altavista; one brother, Mark Osborne of Gretna; two sisters, Terri Rader and husband, George of Gretna and Jane Keatts of Gretna; and numerous nieces and nephews.

James loved being part of the large and close-knit Osborne family of Gretna. He enjoyed being a twin to sister Jane and the "baby" of the Jim Osborne children. He had friends too numerous to count associated with his love of running hound dogs, hunting, restoring old cars, and his dedication to the Boston Red Sox. His greatest love, however, was his own family. He had tremendous pride for his two daughters, Megan and Allison, bragging on their accomplishments and enticing them to love the things he loved.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2026 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Jason Andrews.  Burial will follow in the Osborne Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
