Glen Allen………..James "Jim" Morgan Milam, 81, of Glen Allen, VA died May 19, 2017 at Henrico Doctors Hospital.
He was born in Bedford, VA on November 21, 1935. Son of the late Eugene Bennett Milam and Ivor Hunt Milam. He was preceded in death by his brother, Marvin Bennett Milam and his sister, Avon Milam Clark.
James served during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Air Force. After 20 years of service, retired honorably in 1974.
He is survived by his sister, Frances Milam Deyerle (Melvin), sister-in-law Jean McCauley Milam, brothers; Rev. Calvin T. Milam (Mildred), Dr. Alvin L. Milam (Pat) and David W. Milam (Melissa), sons; Timothy Wayne Milam (Glenda) and Kirk Eugene Milam (Angie), daughter; Melodie Ferrel Pinkston (Robbie), grandchildren; Mikie Hendrick and Gabrielle Milam, 6 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services with Military Honors by American Legion Altavista Post 36 and Gretna Post 232 will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2017 at Summersett Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Jason Andrews.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2017 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
The family wishes to thank Troy and Tammy (Deyerle) Hicks for their love and attention to James' needs, especially the last few months of his life.
