Gretna……….James Arthur McCoy, age 82 of Gretna died Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.
Born September 1, 1932 in Minnesota he was a son of the late Arthur Raymond McCoy and Helen Brower McCoy. He was predeceased by a sister, Naline Tibbs. Mr. McCoy was a member of Greenfield Baptist Church and retired from the U.S. Air Force after twenty years of service. He was extremely proud to serve his country. He enjoyed bowling, gardening, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Carter McCoy of the residence; a sister, Drucilla McCoy McIntyre of Oxford, FL; two step-grandchildren, Dawn Anthony and Christopher Anthony; three step-great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Nadia and Anthony; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services with Military Honors by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Greenfield Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. R.G. Rowland.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
