Lynch Station..........James Lester Mason, age 66 of Lynch Station died Sunday, December 5, 2010 at his residence.
Born December 29, 1943 in Campbell County, he was a son of Martha Jane (Janie) Callahan of Lynch Station and the late James William Mason. Lester was a plumber. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bingo.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Linda Emerson Mason of the residence; four sons, Jeffrey Mason of Lynch Station, Will Mason and wife, Kristy of Brookneal, Morgan Mason of Lynch Station, and David Mason and wife, Candice of Lynch Station; one brother, Charles Mason and friend, Lisa of Lynch Station; four sisters, Stella Keesee and husband, Donnie Keesee, Sr. of Altavista, Venida Shields and husband, Frank Shields of Church Road, Linda Crouch of Nags Head, NC, and Valerie Mason of Kill Devil Hills, NC; three grandchildren, Mackenzie Mason, Ethan Mason, and Evan Mason; his mother-in-law, Louise Emerson of Altavista; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at the Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. George Knight.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
