Gretna……….James Thomas Kitchens, age 69 Gretna died Monday, December 23, 2019 at Centra Specialty Hospital in Lynchburg.

Born July 14, 1950 in Commerce, Georgia, he was a son of the late John Bennett Kitchens and Anna Mae Nation Kitchens.  He was predeceased by three brothers, Rick Kitchens, Tony Kitchens, and Steve Kitchens; and one sister, Sandra Jarrell.  Mr. Kitchens retired from Schrader-Bridgeport.  He loved to hunt, trout fish, and spend time with his family and friends.

He is survived by one son, Josh Kitchens and wife, Mary Margaret of Gretna; one brother, Barry Kitchens and wife, Connie of Chatham; one sister, Joyce Williams and husband, Rick of Royston, Georgia; and two grandchildren, Ethan Kitchens and Ava Kitchens.

Per his request there will be no public service.
