Gretna……..James Lesley Hogan, age 68 of Gretna died Monday, October 10, 2016 at his residence.
Born April 19, 1948 in Campbell County he was a son of the late Lewis Hogan and Eldner Childress Hogan. He was predeceased by a brother, Lewis Hogan, Jr. and a sister, Eldner Mae Hogan. Mr. Hogan was a former employee of the Lane Company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, snow, westerns and working is his shop.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Pickeral Hogan of the residence; one son, Ricky Kidd and wife, Martha of Lynchburg; one daughter, Wanda Cooper and husband, Gordon of Lynchburg; two sisters, Mary Doss and husband, James of Appomattox and Betty "Polly" Hines and husband, Tony of Gretna; and three grandchildren, Blake Cooper, Brittany Cooper McCoy and husband, Brenden and Justin Ayers.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor Bobby Brumfield. Burial will follow in Mount Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of his sister and brother-in-law, Polly and Tony Hines, 1821 Telegraph Road, Gretna.
