Altavista…….James Christopher "Jamie" Franklin, age 47 of Altavista passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born July 13, 1978 in Lynchburg, he was a son of James Michael "Jimmy" Franklin of Lynchburg and the late Christine "Chris" Chumley Franklin.

In addition to his father, he is survived by three sons, Joshua Franklin, Cody Franklin and Wyatt Hodges; one brother, Paul Franklin; two half-brothers, Hoskins Franklin and Austin Franklin; and three grandchildren, C.J. Franklin, Ryder Franklin and Julia Franklin.

No formal funeral service will be held.
