Hurt……….James Fitzgerald Cline, Sr., age 83 of Hurt died Monday, June 25, 2012 at Virginia Baptist Hospital in Lynchburg.
Born December 26, 1928 in Wythe County, he was a son of the late Robert Wesley Cline and Maggie Stevens Cline. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances Aileen Cannoy Cline; and a son James Cline, Jr. Mr. Cline was a retired truck driver with Burlington Industries. He enjoyed John Deere tractors, old western movies, and blue grass music.
He is survived by one daughter, Cindy Rowland and her husband, Lonnie of Gretna; a daughter-in-law, Ann Cline of Hurt; one sister, Cynthia Wohlford of Wytheville; three grandchildren, Robert Cline and his wife, Christi, Jennifer Moore and her husband, Russell, and Jessica Rowland; six great-grandchildren, Gabriella Ferguson, Jeremiah Ferguson, Dakota Cline, Michael Moore, Ryker Moore, and Cody Thomas; one great-great-grandchild, Bradley Thomas; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Gary Phillips. Burial will follow in Altavista Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, and other times will be at the residence of his daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Lonnie Rowland, 1901 Derby Road, Gretna.
