Hurt……….James Edward Brumfield, age 62 of Hurt, died Friday, February 3, 2012 at his residence.
Born April 15, 1949 in Pittsylvania County , he was a son of the late, Leffie Ray Brumfield and Willie Clarine Saunders Brumfield. He was predeceased by two brothers, Wilford Brumfield and Jessie Clarence Brumfield; and a sister, Kathy Pearl Brumfield. He was a member of Riceville Baptist Church and was an electrician. Mr. Brumfield enjoyed singing, playing the guitar and his dog Cheyenne.
He is survived by three brothers, Henry Ray Brumfield and wife, Judy of Ringgold, Moncie Lee Brumfield and wife, Gloria of Gretna and Leffie Dean Brumfield and wife, Mary of Sutherlin; one sister, Clara Smith and husband, Wayne of Hurt; Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2012 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor David Rowland. Burial will follow in the Brumfield Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of his sister and brother-in-law, Clara and Wayne Smith, 6149 Dews Road, Hurt.
