Jaqueline Tommy-Martin Fuhrmann (Grandmere) passed peacefully in her home surrounded by family on March 6, 2024, exactly three months shy of her 97th birthday, June 6, 1927. Her family were true Parisians and split their time between an apartment near Luxembourg Gardens, Paris, and their country estate before and during the Second World War. Jacqueline had a brave, indomitable, affectionate, and loyal spirit. She had a deep love for God, church, family, elegant hosting, fine dining, adventurous travel, city, and country life. She spent her last years with family on Our Father's Farm in Gretna, VA. One of the first things she did on the farm was to plant a host of daffodil bulbs with her now deceased younger sister Odile. When she passed from among us these flowers were saluting her in royal bloom.

She was dearly loved and will be gratefully remembered by her four sons and their families as well as many dear friends and a host of French relatives. Jacqueline was predeceased by her parents: Philippe and Marie Claire Tommy-Martin, brothers: Paul, Guy, and Yves Tommy-Martin, and sister Odile Tommy Martin. She is survived by her older sister Jeanne and her four sons and their families: Tom and Dalliss , and their daughters Marin and husband Bojan Bosnic, Darika and husband Joseph Kullman, and Jallene and husband Marshall Eckert and Estelle; Alain; Jacques and Kim and children Samuel, Joshua and wife Brianna, Sheila, Hope, Timothy, Joy, Daniel, Peace, and John; and Henri and Mandy and their children Adam, Benjamin, and Emily Fuhrmann. She was also blessed by grandchildren in law and eight great grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Piney Grove Baptist Church 2261 Piney Grove Rd, Gretna, Virginia 24557 at 1:00pm with social and sharing with refreshments immediately following. Condolences can be received at Our Fathers Farm 2664 Deer View Rd. Gretna, VA 24557. There will also be a zoom link for those wishing to participate remotely. Interment to be in a family tomb in Montparnasse, Paris, France on 29 April 2024.
