Gretna…...Ivalee Hogan Dalton, age 88 of 1012 Music St, Gretna died Friday, August 2, 2013 at Virginia Baptist Hospital in Lynchburg.
Mrs. Dalton was born November 17, 1924 in Marshfield, Missouri. She was a daughter of the late Ezra Alonzo Hogan and Nona Leona Blunt Hogan. She was predeceased by her husband, Eric William Dalton, Sr., a brother, Shirley Hogan, daughter-in-law, Linda Hogan Dalton, and two grandsons, Kevin Dalton and Allen Dalton. She was a member of Gretna Christian Church for 70 years. She was a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship, enjoyed reading, cooking and researching genealogy.
She is survived by four sons, Eric W. Dalton Jr. and wife, Lois of Rixeyville, Kenneth E. Dalton and wife, Linda of Gretna, Philip G. Dalton and wife, Barbara of Gretna, and Stanley E. Dalton of Ringgold; a brother, Raymond Hogan and wife, Sue of Holister, MO.; four sisters-in-law, Betty Hogan of Marshfield, MO., Marie Saunders of Gretna, Barbara Dalton of Gretna, and Clarice Dalton of Gretna; seven grandchildren, Eric W. Dalton III, Dorian Dalton, Jeffrey Dalton and wife, Christina, Lesley Tucker and husband, Brad, Lacey Keesee and husband, Lenny, Paola Zacharski, Peter Zacharski; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Gretna Christian Church by Pastor Wayne Grinnell and Rev. R.G. Rowland. Burial will follow in the Gretna Burial Park.
The family will receive friends at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Linda Dalton, 4096 Deer View Rd, Gretna.
