Iris Ramsey Cocke, age 86 of Gretna, died Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Berkshire Health and Rehab Center in Vinton.

Born September 16, 1934 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Morris Ramsey and Myrtle Towler Ramsey. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert William Cocke; and two brothers, George Ramsey, and Russell Ramsey. Mrs. Cocke was a member of Gretna Christian Church and a former member of Greenbay Christian Church.  She was a member of the Climax Ruritan Club and she never met a stranger. Mrs. Cocke was a home maker; and she enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

She is survived by one daughter, Laura Cocke Bond and husband, Brian of Roanoke; one grandson, Logan Bond of Roanoke; two aunts, Ynell Brumfield of Roanoke and Mag Elliott of Danville; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Lee Ashley, Minister and Dr. Chris Cadenhead. Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.

Everyone attending the service must wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. Viewing will be available until 9:00 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2021, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2021 and from 9:00 a.m. until service time Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home
