Gretna........Myrtle Irene Younger, age 86 of Gretna died Monday, June 15, 2020 at her residence.

Born September 24, 1933 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late James Eldridge Harper and Myrtle Shelton Harper.  She was predeceased by her husband, William Edward Younger; two grandsons, Brandon Scott Dalton, and Waylon James Dalton; a great-grandson, Joey Kendrick; a brother, Mike Brumfield; a son-in-law, Jimmy Edwin Dalton; and a sister-in-law, Linda Brumfield.  Mrs. Younger was a member of Gretna Pentecostal Holiness Church, and she retired from Ennis Business Forms.  She enjoyed going to church, all church activities, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Younger Dalton of Gretna, and Cathy Younger Marlowe and husband, Glenn of Callands; one brother, Glen Brumfield and wife, Joyce of Chatham; one granddaughter, Kisha Shelton and fiancé, Dustin Hodnett of Chatham; a special niece, Tracey Whitley and husband, Clay of Raleigh, NC; eleven great-grandchildren, Lauren, Taylor, Chassidy, Jayden, Riley, Cole, Kamden, Brandon, Jr., Nick, Shawn, and Dustin; and a special caregiver, Millie.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Gretna Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery by Rev. Dennis Nichols.

The family will receive friends at the residence.
