Gretna………Irne "Rene" Petty Crider, age 76 of Gretna died Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.

Born November 6, 1946 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late John Gilbert Petty and Elna Meadows Petty.  She was predeceased by her husband and the love of her life, Joseph "Joe" Marshall Crider; and numerous cousins.  Mrs. Crider was the owner operator of "Renes Café" and "Renes Salon."  She loved playing cards, playing Bingo, flowers, going to cruise-ins, outside games and winters in Florida.  She also loved her fur babies, "BoBo" and "Misty."

She would like to thank her special friends and helpers, Arlette Adkins, Ann Rigney, Janet and Ricky Rowland, Henry Berger and Jerry Davis.

Graveside services 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2023 at Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden by Pastor Matthew Speck.
