Hurt……….Irene Preas Hall, age 95 of Hurt went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2023.

Born August 6, 1927 in Campbell County, she was a daughter of the late John Thomas Preas and Lila Mayberry Preas.  Irene was predeceased by her husband of 56 years Lawrence Hall and an infant son, Jamie Lee Hall.

She is survived by her two children, Wanda Arthur (Larry), and Freddy Hall (Linda). She has three grandchildren, Jeb Arthur (Misty), Freda Hedrick (Bruce) and Phillip Hall; four great grandchildren, Jasmine Arthur, Zachary Arthur, Elena Jones (Michael) and Dale Shrewsbury along with one great-great-grandson due in May. She was a loving and devoted, wife, mother and grandmother.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 13, 2023 at Penuel Baptist Church Cemetery, Altavista, Va. by Rev. Jeff Chapman.

Family will receive friends at Wanda and Larry's home, 2390 Wards Rd. Altavista, Va. 24517.
