Inez Gay Burnett, age 85 of Liberty Ridge Nursing Home died Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born March 23, 1931 in Pittsylvania County she was a daughter of the late Henry Miert Burnett and Tishie Tanner Burnett. She was also predeceased by a sister, Billie Burnett. She was a member of Memorial Christian Church. She enjoyed listening to music.
She is survived by one sister, Beatrice B. Casebolt of Forest; a special nephew, Tracy Young; great-nieces, Cindy Thornhill and Debbie Blevins; a great nephew, Rusty Thornhill; 8 great-great-nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Cynthia Robertson.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Virgil Knipp and Rev. Sue Knipp.
