Chatham……….Anita Hope Meadows Doss, age 49 of 1629 Cooksburg Road, Chatham died Friday, July 20, 2012 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
Born June 28, 1963 in Danville, she was a daughter of Nancy Motley Meadows of Chatham and the late Claude Swanson Meadows. Hope enjoyed music, drawing, writing poetry and her two dogs, Toby and Grizzly.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Bill Doss of the residence; three sons, Maynard J. Conner of Chatham, Aaron Randall Doss of Chatham, and C.J. Doss of Chatham; two brothers, Claude Coleman Meadows and wife, Sylvia of Chatham and Tommy Meadows and wife, Dianne of Chatham; one grandson, Gavin Lee Conner; her mother-in-law, Mary Louise Doss of Chatham; and her sister-in-law, Betty Jo Adkins and husband, Tex of Chatham..
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Sheva Church of Christ by Larry Owen, Minister, and Bob Paddock, Minister. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Monday, July 23, 2012 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
