Lusby, MD……….Herbert Otey Ransom, age 84 of Lusby, MD died Friday, April 26, 2013 at Calvert Memorial Hospital.
Born March 10, 1929 in Bedford he was a son of the late Joseph Jayhue Ransom and Annie Lou Goode Ransom. Mr. Ransom was predeceased by his wife, Mary Virginia Ransom; a daughter, Linda Diane Gilbert; and was the last surviving sibling of 17. He was a member of Greenfield Baptist Church and was a former automotive mechanic.
He is survived by a grandson, Timothy Martin Gilbert, Jr. and his wife Tammy; a granddaughter, Dianna Lyn Gilbert and her husband, Keith; and four great-grandchildren, Kyle Gilbert and his wife, Belinda, Kayla Gilbert Koontz and her husband, Anthony, Kody Gilbert, and Brian Avery.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Greenfield Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. R.G Rowland.
