Gretna……….Hattie Tucker Massie, age 80 of Gretna died Monday, November 9, 2015 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.
Born November 12, 1934 in Pittsylvania County she was a daughter of the late Hollins Creasy Tucker and Berta Saunders Tucker. She was predeceased by her husband, Alvin Anderson Massie; and a son Glenn Massie. Mrs. Massie was a member of Greenfield Baptist Church and was a home maker. She enjoyed writing letters, sewing and gardening.
She is survived by one son, Ray Massie of Gretna; two brothers, Frederick Tucker and his wife, Faye of Gretna and John Keith Tucker and his wife, Jeroline of Danville; and one sister, Kathryn Waller of Gretna.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. R.G. Rowland. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of her brother and sister-in-law, Frederick and Faye Tucker, 5376 East Gretna Road, Gretna.
